Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is coenzyme for some enzyme systems that is applied in the metabolism of protein and carbohydrates; it is responsible for the production of insulin and red and white blood cells, and the synthesis of neurotransmitters, enzymes, and prostaglandins. Vitamin B6 is a coenzyme. Vitamin B6 is applied for the production of amino acids and works as some  enzymes. It is necessary for the production of serotonin and the maintainance of healthy immune system functions.
Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) is known as an antioxidant water-soluble vitamin that is required to break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It is helpful for human growth, reproduction and the maintainance of many other bodily processes. It is applied for the metabolization of nutrients, the manufacture of antibodies and the production of vitamin D. Besides, it helps to synthezise hemoglobin, steroid hormones, neurotransmitters, and lipids.
Biotin (vitamin H, vitamin B7) is responsible for the synthesis of fatty acids, energy metabolism, and the synthesis of amino acids and glucose. It is known as an important coenzyme required for the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
Folic acid (folate, vitamin B9) are known as the forms of a water-soluble B vitamin. It is responsible for human growth and development (pregnancy, lactation and early growth), cell division and DNA synthesis.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a very popular vitamin that is applied as antioxidant food additives. It is important, because it is applied to build and maintain our tissues and make our immune system stronger.

Among other vitamins there are Vitamin E, Alpha-lipoic acid and Bioflavonoids. Vitamin E is known as the most effective, fat-soluble antioxidant that keeps the integrity of the body's intracellular membrane, it protects its physical stability and defend against tissue damage that appears as a result of oxidation. Alpha-lipoic acid neutralizes the effects of free radicals on the body. Bioflavonoids are used as antioxidant, they have such properties as anti-inflammatory, antiallergenic, antiviral, and anti-carcinogenic ones.
Vitamins help to maitain hunman health. Their lack can lead to some illnesses. The lack of vitamin A can lead to such health problems as retarded skeletal growth, night blindness, different problems connected with the skin and linings of the genitourinary system and gastrointestinal tract. The lack of Thiamin causes such health problems as muscular weakness, leg cramps, slow heartbeat, irritability, defective hydrochloric acid production in the stomach and associated digestive disorders. The lack of Riboflavin leads to such health problems as inflamed tongue, inflammation and ulcers in the mouth, dandruff, weakness, abnormal blood vessel growth on the sclerae, and low blood counts. The lack of niacin causes a chronic illness known as pellagra. Vitamin B5 deficiency causes depression, personality changes, and heart problems. The lack of Vitamin B6 can lead to such health problems as impaired immunity, skin lesions, and mental confusion.

The lack of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) leads to pernicious anemia. The lack of inositol causes abnormal platelet aggregation, and alcoholism. Those, who do not take enough carnitine, suffer from a progressive neuromuscular disorder with nausea and vomiting. Those, who do not take enough PABA, suffer from fatigue, irritability, depression, nervousness, headache, constipation and other digestive disorders. The deficiency of vitamin C causes scurvy. The deficiency of vitamin D causes rickets in children. Those, who suffer from the lack of vitamins D and E, suffer from the central nervous system disorders and leads to muscle weakness, loss of muscle mass, abnormal eye movements, impaired vision, and unsteady gait. If you do not have enough biotin, you will suffer from fatigue, depression, nausea, muscle pains, hair loss, and anemia. The defiency of vitamin K leads to easy bruisability, epistaxis, gastrointestinal bleeding, menorrhagia and hematuria. The lack of folic acid during pregnancy can increase the appearance of neural tube defects.

Overdosage of some vitamins used in excess quantity leads to some side effects. Proper dosage of vitamins is added to a medical instruction. Too much vitamin A may damage liver and lead to peptic ulcers, and skin rashes. It is bad for bones and skin, leads to weakness and brittleness. The excess quantity of niacin leads to Vitamin B6 toxicity that damages sensory nerves. The excess quantity of PABA leads to the decrease of blood sugar. It is ver harmful to take too much vitamin D.
Thus, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using any vitamin nutritional supplements or if any concerns arise.
