Molybdenum

Molybdenum
This vitamin is found in all cells of human organism. It is found in the structure of bones, teeth, liver and kidney. Molybdenum helps to create the enzyme xanthine oxidase. This enzyme plays important role in the assimilation of iron and into the blood and body tissues and burning of fats.

The lack of molybdenum may cause anemia, impotence and problems with teeth and gums. Very often this mineral is a component of vitamin and mineral supplements.

Food products, rich in molybdenum: milk, beans and peas, different cereals, leafy vegetables, liver etc. The majority of people obtain enough of this useful mineral with the food they use.

Recommended dose of molybdenum is 150-500 micrograms a day for people over 11. Overdose of it is harmful and can lead to diarrhea and retarded growth in children. Such symptoms as swollen joints and lack of copper in the body may be the indicators of the excessive amount of molybdenum.

Potassium
This mineral is important for nerve and muscle tissues in the body. It is good for treatment of different forms of allergies and high blood pressure. The lack of potassium can lead to hypoglycemia (it’s a condition, when the amount of  glucose in the blood is inadequate).

Potassium works as an electrolyte agent in the organism: it brings nutritional elements to the cells and removes used elements. Electrolytes, thanks to its positive charge, are able to penetrate through the membranes of the cells and bring electrical messages from central nervous system and heart to body tissues.

Sufficient amount of potassium and sodium secures the body from hypertension and heart strokes. This provides the chemical interchange for transformation of carbohydrates into energy.

The lack of potassium may lead to hypokalemia. It’s a condition when potassium leaves the organism faster than in its normal state. This disease can be caused by vomiting, kidney problems, bulimia or anorexia. The indicators of it: tiredness, muscle spasms, apoplexy. The neglected hypokalemia leads to very serious health problems.

The lack of potassium also results in bad appetite, acne, diarrhea, irritability, excessive amount of cholesterol in the organism, insomnia, depression etc.
