Boron helps to assimilate calcium in the organism. It also contributes to the growth of the amount of useful nutritional supplements in the body, such as copper, magnesium and vitamin D.

This micronutrient increases greatly the effect of other mineral supplements. That’s why it’s so essential in everyday nutrition of each person. The lack of it may cause the cancer of prostate or osteoarthritis.

Many scientists consider that boron is able to raise the amount of hormones estrogen and testosterone in the organism. This means, that this mineral is able to increase the mass of lean muscles and treat the menopausal problems. But, this fact still remains scientifically unproven.

The detailed analysis of boron effect started only in the 1980s. That’s why it still remains unexplored in some fields.

As some researches showed, boron contributes to good coordination, concentration, long- and short- term memory.

Calcium
Calcium is very important for connective tissues, healthy bones and teeth. This mineral also contributes greatly to healthy digestion process and generation of enzymes and hormones. Calcium is a building element for nerve cells and helps it to transmit the electrical signals to the heart and other muscles in the organism. It also helps blood to cloth appropriately. The right everyday dose of calcium can prevent hypertension and cancer of colon.

People, who suffer from calcium deficiency, are exposed to osteoporosis risks. It’s a disease, when bones are very slender and fragile. About 1 percent of calcium in the body concentrates in the blood flow. And this insignificant amount of it is very important for the proper functioning of the majority of body organs.  If calcium doesn’t come in with food, the organism will start to draw it from the bones, thereby weakening them.

There may be other reasons of osteoporosis. This disease is more common after 35, because in this age the level of estrogen and testosterone hormones reduces. These hormones control the velocity of calcium usage by organism. The smaller amount of estrogen and testosterone causes decrease of calcium in the bones.

Women are more likely to suffer from osteoporosis after they have menopause. It is also explained by naturally thinner bones and skeletons.

But this doesn’t mean that men are less exposed to this disease. Doctors pay more attention for women education then men. This means that men are more reluctant to keep the appropriate diet, rich in calcium. The body of older man also generates less testosterone, so, he is also exposed to osteoporosis risks.
